Kohl Center; LaBahn Arena Will Not Have Fans At Games

By Adam Roberts – 11/11/2020

Not that it comes as much of a surprise, but when the #7 Badger man open up the Kohl Center on November 25th against Eastern Illinois, it will be to a bunch of empty seats.

The Big Ten has been reluctant to have any athletic competitions this year, as many will recall with the will they-won’t they we went through this summer as far as football goes. But there will be basketball games played starting later this month. Karley Marotta was the first to tweet that the Kohl Center and LaBahn Arena would be empty this season. The decision  impacts the men’s and women’s basketball team as well as both men’s and women’s hockey.

uwbadgers.com says the decision is closely related to the approach the school has taken at Camp Randall Stadium this year, which we’ve only seen implemented once in the Badgers season opening win over Illinois. The website also says that the full men’s and women’s basketball schedules will be released soon.

Badger men’s hockey first plays at home November 19th against Michigan, while the top-ranked women first play at LaBahn on December 11th against Minnesota-Duluth.
