A day after waiving wide receiver Reggie Begelton, the Packers are bringing him right back to the organization.
Begelton had been waived by the team yesterday along with linebacker Curtis Bolton, who himself had been on the physically unable to perform list. But with wide receiver depth still an issue for Green Bay, Begelton will be back with the team, this time on the practice squad. The move may seem odd to some, but was likely done by the team as a crafty move to elevate more than two players to the active roster. League rules dictate only two skilled position players can be moved to the active roster each week, and Green Bay had already brought up defensive lineman Billy Winn and linebacker De’Jon Harris from the practice squad for the Falcons’ game.
Green Bay is off until October 18th when they visit Tampa Bay.
