Lambeau Field Going Cashless

By Adam Roberts – 10/9/2020

Following in the footsteps of many organizations these days, the Green Bay Packers are eliminating the need for physical cash at Lambeau Field.

Whether it’s because of the coin shortage earlier this year, or simply businesses looking to be more sustainable, many organizations have opted to go cashless in recent years, and a pandemic has expedited that process for many. Once fans are eventually permitted back at Lambeau, the changes will be quite apparent; the only place cash will be accepted will be for fans parking in the Lambeau lots.

Checks also won’t be accepted at the stadium, with conversion stations being placed throughout the facility. Credit/debit payments will be accepted, along with Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Earlier this week, the team announced fans would not be permitted until further notice due to increased COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin, after previously planning to re-admit fans for the November 1st game against Minnesota.
