Viterbo women’s volleyball was scheduled to play a match tonight against NSAA foe Mayville State. However, that game was called off yesterday out of what the university called “an abundance of caution for student-athletes, staff, and fans, and for the health and safety of everyone involved.”
Viterbo has been the one university in the area pushing forward with atheltics; UWL has not held athletic competition since March 15th (an 11-9 lacrosse loss to Augustana), and the same goes for Winona State, who’s last official contest was a March 11th women’s tennis win over Quincy University.
It’s not the first time this fall that a V-Hawk volleyball home opener has been cancelled, and for now we’ll have to wait and see if a makeup date is announced.
