It didn’t take long for Jack Coan to find a new home.
The former Badger quarterback, seeing the writing on the wall with the program’s commitment to Graham Mertz, entered the transfer portal ahead of the team’s appearance in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. His next home will be in South Bend with the Fighting Irish.
Coan started in 18 games for Wisconsin throwing for 3,278 yards and 23 touchdowns, most of which came back in 2019. He suffered a knee injury in practice that kept him off the field throughout 2020.
Coan will be replacing Ian Book, a 2,800+ yard passer this season who struggled against Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
