The Vikings are parting ways with defensive tackle Shamar Stephen ahead of the new league year, which officially began today.
He was released yesterday, clearing 3.75-million dollars in salary cap space.
Stephen has spent six of his first seven seasons in Minnesota.
The move comes after Minnesota brought in Dalvin Tomlinson from the New York Giants on a two-year, 22 million dollar deal.
