Conor McGregor Leads List Of Highest-Paid Athletes

No surprise here, but the highest-paid athletes in the world do not in fact play for any of the three Wisconsin pro sports teams.

Conor McGregor is leading Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid athletes. The U-F-C fighter earned 180-million dollars in the past year just in the ring, and made another 158-million in endorsements. He becomes only the third athlete to make more than 70-million in a year outside of competition, joining Roger Federer and Tiger Woods.

Meantime, three other athletes earned more than 100-million. They include soccer stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The other is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, thanks to a 66-million dollar signing bonus. He’s the first NFL player to ever top 100-million in a single year.

Very interesting is the fact that no baseball players are on the list given the big contracts for stars like Bryce Harper, Gerrit Cole, and Manny Machado recently.
