Bucks’ Thanasis Antetokounmpo Out With Injury

#BucksInSix started as a Twitter hashtag during the playoffs years ago in a series between Milwaukee and the then Lebron-led Miami Heat. The Bucks lost that series, and last year in the bubble fell once again to the now Jimmy Butler-led Heat. But if Giannis and the Bucks want the third time to be the charm this postseason, they’ll be missing at least one name heading into the series.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo sustained a right leg injury on the final game of the season Sunday against Chicago which will keep in out of the team’s first playoff series. Antetokounmpo was examined and the MRI revealed a fracture in his right patella tendon. He will be sidelined for at least two weeks, at which time he will be re-evaluated.

So far Thanasis has served as a role player for the Bucks, averaging under 3 points per game and playing just under 10 minutes a game in his second year with Milwaukee.

The Bucks and Heat start their series this Saturday afternoon at Fiserv Forum.
