The UWL football team is adding a bit of local flair to its coaching staff this week.
Noah Risch has been hired as an assistant coach; he will work in the sports performance center and also run the scout team at practices while working with linebackers as well.
Risch is a Holmen native that graduated from UWL in 2018; his honors while a linebacker for the Eagles include three All-WIAC selections (1st team in 2017), and also receiving a nomination for the 2017 Cliff Harris award given to the best defensive player in Divisions 2 and 3 and the NAIA.
Risch also notably played two seasons professionally for the Stockholm (Sweden) Mean Machines. He was elected team captain in his first year and was a member of the 2019 Swedish National Championship team.
UWL begins the 2021 season at Dakota State on September 4th.
