Major League Baseball has the 4th of July, the NFL has Thanksgiving, and the NBA has Christmas Day. This year, the defending NBA Champs reside in Milwaukee, and they’ll be a part of the biggest regular season day of the year for basketball.

We learned today the Bucks will be game two of the NBA’s Opening Night doubleheader taking on the Brooklyn Nets, a team many are curious to see play the Bucks at full strength and see how that roster compares to the one Milwaukee faced at times during the East semis last postseason. Milwaukee will also play on Christmas at home against Boston in game two of the five-game schedule.

The NBA preseason schedule was also unveiled today; Milwaukee will start things with an open scrimmage on October 5th, and then the schedule looks like this:

  • October 5th @ Memphis
  • October 8th @ Brooklyn
  • October 10th vs Oklahoma City
  • October 13th @ Utah
  • October 15th vs Dallas
