After teasing that news would be coming today on the topic, the Big Ten, Pac-12, and ACC are releasing some details of their new alliance today.
It includes scheduling opportunities between the conferences for football in addition to men’s and women’s basketball. It’ll also explore opportunities for Olympic sports to play more often. The alliance came after Texas and Oklahoma announced a move to the SEC from the Big 12.
However, the agreement will not take effect for several years and some of the scheduling opportunities will be fluid given current contracts that exist between future alliance schools and schools outside the alliance’s scope.
