While not everyone is still sold on Bucks’ head coach Mike Budenholzer, it’s getting tougher to defend that crowd after Bud and the Bucks won the NBA championship. Now, the defending champs are rewarding their head coach.
According to ESPN, the Bucks are rewarding head coach Mike Budenholzer with a three-year contract extension. Budenholzer’s deal was set to expire at the end of the upcoming season but he will now have a deal through the 2024-25 season.
The head coach helped guide Milwaukee to its first championship in 50 years this past season. Since taking over in 2018, Bud has accumulated a 172-65 record in the regular season and a 31-17 record in the playoffs.
