As New Orleans continues to recover from the damage dealt by Hurricane Ida, the Saints and Packers’ scheduled season opener at the Superdome has been moved to Jacksonville’s TIAA Bank Stadium.
Today the first lights started coming back on in the city, but much of the area remains without power or clean water. Saints’ head coach Sean Payton had already said it was unlikely the team would be back in the city for the first quarter of the season.
After the opener, the Saints are on the road for the next two games, and are expected to be back at the Caesars Superdome October 3rd against the New York Giants.
