More Americans are expected to bet on NFL games when the season kicks off this Thursday. That’s according to a survey form the American Gaming Association. It expects 36-percent more Americans to put down some money on games this season. That number comes out to more than 45-million Americans.
Around two dozen states and Washington, DC allow sports betting, and it will soon be coming to Oneida Casino near Green Bay also. Those plans have been a tad delayed, though, after computer kiosks were back-ordered from the supplier. Betting is now expected to start sometime in November.
The 2021 NFL season gets underway Thursday when the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay opens the season Sunday against New Orleans in Jacksonville.
