Packers LT Elgton Jenkins Dealing With Ankle Injury

By Adam Roberts – 9/22/2021

It looks like the Packers will have to deal with another pesky injury to their offensive line going into Sunday night’s game against San Francisco.

Left tackle Elgton Jenkins is reportedly dealing with an ankle injury. Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed the news at his media availability today. The injury apparently occurred during the team’s 35-17 win over Detroit on Monday night, but it didn’t bring Jenkins out of the game as he played all 65 offensive snaps.

Jenkins has been filling in at the spot since David Bakhtiari was added to the PUP list for the first six weeks of the season. Should Jenkins be unable to go this Sunday, it’s possible we might see Billy Turner or Dennis Kelly at the spot against the 49ers, though Yosh Nijman is the officially-listed next man up on the depth chart.
