Brewers Drop Fifth Straight Game

By Adam Roberts – 9/24/2021

I really do believe the Brewers will clinch the NL Central in the next few days.

But boyyyyy are they making this stressful.

Paul Goldschmidt homered twice as the Cardinals rallied for an 8-5 win over the Brewers in Milwaukee. St. Louis trailed 5-0 at one point after Tyrone Taylor hit two home runs. T.J. McFarland picked up the win for the Cardinals, who have won 12 straight, which is the longest winning streak since 1982 for St. Louis. Aaron Ashby took the loss for Milwaukee on a difficult day for the bullpen. Adrian Houser was solid earlier in the day, giving up just one run.

The Brewers will look to turn things around when they host the Mets tonight.
