Bucks GM Jon Horst Signs Extension

By Adam Roberts – 10/15/2021

I think it’s safe to say if you help build the first championship team in half a century for your franchise, you’ve got a nice little contract extension coming your way.

The Milwaukee Bucks and general manager Jon Horst today agreed to a new multiyear deal, as first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Horst has served as the Bucks’ GM since 2017 when he became the youngest GM in the association replacing John Hammond. He was named the NBA’s Executive of the Year in 2019, and his notable career highlights in Milwaukee include the signing of Jrue Holiday, then-free agent Brook Lopez, and head coach Mike Budenholzer. He also of course negotiated the murky waters surrounding whether or not Giannis would sign his supermax or pursue other opportunities.

The Bucks are back in preseason action tonight against the Mavericks at Fiserv Forum.
