While the Green Bay Packers and Washington Football Team will meet at Lambeau Field this Sunday, there is a great deal going on off the field for the visitors, and none of it is positive news.
The NFL has been investigating the team’s email collection in the aftermath of the Jon Gruden firing for language he used in emails to then-WFT team president Bruce Allen. Now the league’s investigation into the team has caught the attention of Congress. House Democrats Carolyn B. Maloney of New York and Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois asked the league to send over some of the documents in the investigation and answer questions about the investigation by November 4th.
The NFL has not released all of its findings in the investigation and an NFL spokesman said the league is not going to start the investigation again or release the 650,000 emails it found.
