The Packers’ COVID-19 situation continues to escalate today.
Earlier it was confirmed defensive coordinator Joe Barry had tested positive and thus would likely be unable to travel with the team to the desert this Thursday as the Packers take on Arizona. Now it appears the team will also at bare minimum be without it’s top wide receiver as well.
Davante Adams was placed on the list just moments ago; Adams said he is vaccinated so it is a positive test and not a close contact with Barry situation.
As mentioned earlier this morning in our Barry story, vaccinated players and coaches who test positive must test negative twice before their next game with each tests 24 hours apart.
Additionally, the team remains in advanced COVID protocols, meaning players and coaches will be tested daily, all players and staff must wear masks regardless of vaccination status, and all meetings will be conducted virtually before the team leaves for Phoenix on Thursday.
We’ll continue following this story and provide updates as they become available.
